INFORMATION EVENT JTC 2021

We would like to inform you that an ERA PerMed “Information Event” JTC 2021 call “MULTIDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH PROJECTS ON PERSONALISED MEDICINE – DEVELOPMENT OF CLINICAL SUPPORT TOOLS FOR PERSONALISED MEDICINE IMPLEMENTATION” will be organized on the 25th of January 2021. The meeting will take place online from 13:00 to 14:30 (CET).

All interested applicants are invited to participate in this event. The objectives of the meeting are as follows: 

  • Presentation of the call (scientific goals, administrative aspects) followed by Q&A session with participants.
  • Presentation of an International Perspective of ELSI aspect on the PM research (Big Data, AI) by Av. Agata Ferretti and the Ethical guidance Data on PM research and Patient perspective on the implementation of the research on PM by Dr. Nick Sevdalis.

The registration to the meeting is mandatory and will close on the 20th of January 2021.

ANNOUNCEMENT JTC 2021

“MULTIDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH PROJECTS ON PERSONALISED MEDICINE – DEVELOPMENT OF CLINICAL SUPPORT TOOLS FOR PERSONALISED MEDICINE IMPLEMENTATION”

Deadline for pre-proposal submission is: 4 March 2021 (17:00 CET)

ERA PerMed is an ERA-NET Cofund, supported by 32 partners of 23 countries and cofunded by the European Commission (EC). To align national research strategies, promote excellence, reinforce the competitiveness of European players in Personalised Medicine (PM), and enhance the European collaboration with non-EU countries, 30 funding organisations have agreed to launch the fourth Joint Transnational Call for collaborative innovative research projects in PM. This represents the third  additional call non-cofunded by the EC. The funding organisations participating in this call particularly wish to promote innovative interdisciplinary collaboration and to encourage translational research proposals. The available budget for this call is 24 Mio € (approx.).

  • Opening of online submission tool: 14 December 2020

  • Submission deadline for pre-proposals: 4 March 2021 (17:00 CET)

  • Opening of online submission tool for full-proposals: 13 May 2021

  • Submission deadline for invited full-proposals: 17 June 2021 (17:00 CET)

Upcoming EULAC-Permed events on ethical, legal and social aspects

EULAC PerMed project aims to integrate countries from the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region in the ERANet ERA PerMed and the ICPerMed (International Consortium of Personalised Medicine), widening the international scope of PerMed R&I related policies, increasing and encouraging a worldwide implementation of PerMed approaches across the whole healthcare value chain.

EULAC-PerMed project is working on preparation of two new project events. Please, save the date for:

  • 17-18 Nov, 2020 –> 2nd TECHNICAL WORKSHOP: Ethical, legal and social aspects in Personalised Medicine.
  • 24-26 Nov, 2020 –> 3rd SUMMER SCHOOL: Implementation research in Personalised Medicine: ELSA perspective.

EUPATI Fundamentals training on patient engagement

The European Patients’ Academy on Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI) is a multi-stakeholder public-private partnership that provides education and training to increase the capacity and capability of patients and patient representatives to understand and meaningfully contribute to medicines research and development (R&D), and to improve the availability of medical information for patients and other stakeholders.

EUPATI is now providing education on patient engagement for all stakeholders, to ensure the acceleration of effective patient engagement in Europe and across the world. EUPATI Fundamentals will take place on 25-26 November and it is a training about Patient Engagement addressed to professionals in academia and pharmaceutical industry.

PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT JTC 2021

To align national research strategies, promote excellence, reinforce the competitiveness of European players in Personalised Medicine (PM), and enhance the European collaboration with non-EU countries, 28 funding organisations have agreed to launch the fourth Joint Transnational Call for collaborative innovative research projects in Personalised Medicine (PM). This represents the third additional call not co-funded by the EC. The funding organisations participating in this call particularly wish to promote innovative interdisciplinary collaboration and to encourage translational research proposals.

The call is planned to be launched on December 14th 2020 with a submission deadline for pre-proposals on March 4th 2021. It is expected that consortia invited for the full-proposal stage, will need to submit their proposal on June 16th, 2021.

The available budget for this call is 16 Mio€ (approx.).
